Chefs Shroom Gravy

A fantastic mushroom gravy you will love.

This is my mushroom gravy recipe. Great on any meat. Not a traditional mushroom gravy.

If you like shrooms try this Mushroom Gravy.

I make this recipe a lot without complaints. It also isn't hard to make. A real winner with steaks and vegetables, especially mashed potatoes.

RECIPE

Makes Roughly 5 Serves

Cooking & Preparation Time: Roughly 30 Minutes

INGREDIENTS

200 Grams Butter

1 220 Gram Tin of Mushrooms in Butter Sauce

200 Grams Portabella Mushrooms

100 Grams Oyster Mushrooms

100 Grams Button (Cup) Mushrooms

1 Cup of Water

1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder

1 Tablespoon Onion Powder

1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Gravy Mix

3 Tablespoons Traditional Gravy Mix

1/2 a Cup of Thickened Cream (Heavy Cream)

DIRECTIONS

Roughly chop the mushrooms. This is the tin of mushrooms in butter sauce. In a jug or bowl, make up the gravy mix.

In a pan melt the butter on medium heat. Add the mushrooms, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce. Stir every few minutes. Add more butter if needed. Cook until sauteed.

Add the tin of mushrooms in butter sauce and mix through. Add the gravy mix and stir until it thickens. Once it's thickened to your liking, it's ready.

You can serve it from the pan or add it into a jug or gravy boat. You can freeze it or keep it in the fridge for a few days. To reheat it, cook it in a pan again until it heated. Pour the mushroom gravy over your dinner. Enjoy!
